What's next now that the topic forums are completed?

The topic forums helped synthesize our region's science and policy understanding and knowledge concerning each of the six Partnership goals, as well as identify strategies to help achieve a healthy Puget Sound. In order to use the information and feedback effectively, the Partnership has compiled and analyzed information and feedback received at the forums and during the comment period.

This information was incorporated into the revised Topic Forum papers (see below), which will guide Action Agenda development (see draft outline) and ultimately become appendices to the Agenda. Each paper includes a summary of comments received, and accompanying responses. Discussion papers for the Water Quality and Human Well Being topic forums are in progress.

These Topic Forum papers are currently undergoing scientific review by members of the scientific community. Reviewers are identifying areas of strong analytic support for conclusions in the paper, identifying key uncertainties or gaps in understanding and suggesting how those gaps may be addressed in future work. These scientists will also provide guidance for how the papers can be used as part of the scientific basis for the Partnership’s work.
