The goals of this virtual summit were to synthesize nearshore science and restoration actions in Puget Sound and create a roadmap that updates restoration conceptual models and identifies uncertainties to address.

Fundamental Environmental Contextual Metrics Dashboard

Dashboard | Video

This project uses data from oceanographic and atmospheric measurement programs to develop six fundamental environmental metrics and compare current status to historical values. The metrics are available on a web-based dashboard.

Avian Habitat Suitability Models for Puget Sound Estuary Birds

Overview | Storymap | Video

Puget Sound and the Salish Sea support significant concentrations of shorebirds, waterfowl, and other marine bird species. This project develops science products that support the management needs of estuary birds.

Prioritization of Contaminants of Emerging Concern

Fact sheet | Publication | Report | Video

This project prioritizes contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) for monitoring efforts and management responses. Hundreds of CECs such as pharmaceuticals, plasticizers, and pesticides have been found in Puget Sound.

Juvenile Salmonid Monitoring in Large Puget Sound Rivers

Report | Overview | Video

Juvenile salmonid monitoring is a key part of understanding freshwater productivity and marine survival of Chinook salmon. For this project, tribal and state smolt trap operators helped identify trends in Chinook salmon abundance and productivity across multiple rivers in Puget Sound.
