Human Wellbeing and Planning
Human Wellbeing is included in our planning , including:
Action Agenda
Our Action Agenda includes a plan for Puget Sound recovery, including 31 Strategies for funding, policy decisions, and recovery actions.
The 2022-2026 Action Agenda has six strategies for Human Wellbeing outcomes:
- Strategy 21: Place Attachment
- Strategy 22: Outdoor Recreation and Stewardship
- Strategy 23: Good Governance
- Strategy 24: Cultural Practices and Local Foods
- Strategy 25: Economic Benefits
- Strategy 26: Human Health
We conduct an environmental justice assessment on the Action Agenda to decide impacts on overburdened communities and vulnerable populations.
Implementation Strategies
Implementation Strategy Work Groups are teams of experts across the Puget Sound Recovery system who create, update, and provide advice on plans to help meet our Vital Signs goals.
The Human Dimensions Protocol includes social science information to help our Implementation Strategies. You can read more about the Human Dimensions Protocol here.

LIOs are local forums that come together to develop local Recovery Plans, including combining human wellbeing goals and social approaches.
